WINTER GOLF ADVENTURES
For most Canadians the beginning of winter means the end of outdoor golfing. As temperatures drop and the snows settle, you are hard pressed to find playable greens and are forced to go south to indulge in your hobby.
Unless, of course, you’re on the west coast, where the mild climate tends to boast more rain than snow. You can golf in a rainjacket and enjoy hot drinks in between holes.
But what if we told you there was a magical paradise where one could golf in Canada all year long? That the unique climate of the area meant you could spend more days on the green each year than anywhere else?
Vancouver Island is such a place – and when it comes to golf, Parksville and Qualicum Beach boast more than their fair share of courses, with 9 alone in the Parksville area (including Mini Golf, which unfortunately does tend to close its doors in the winter). Have a look at the list on our website.
