Spend Your Summer By the Sea

In Accommodations, Beaches, events, holidays, Salish Sea

Everyone wants to spend their summer by the sea. The warm weather, the sands, swimming, tanning, beachcombing, and shopping.

That’s right: shopping. Every Tuesday night from June until September 1 the Parksville and District Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Summer by the Sea Street Market on Craig Street between 6:00pm and 9:00pm.

More than 140 local artists and artisans from across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands will offer everything from wrought iron work and candles to handcrafted wooden toys. And on top of that there will also be food trucks and entertainment.

So if you happen to find yourself in the Parksville area this summer on a Tuesday evening, check out what summer by the sea looks like in our neck of the woods. The Summer by the Sea Street Market is just a short drive from Ocean Trails, making it a great way to cap the end of a day spent on the endless sands of Rathtrevor Beach. Or if you happen to be on Parksville Beach building sandcastles, it’s just a short walk up the hill.

We highly recommend it.
