Dolphins Spotted Among Resident Orcas

 In Activities

Whale watching is a great way to see our coastline as well as other neighbouring islands. And now in addition to spotting resident orcas, dolphins have been seen among the whales!

It might seem like an unlikely friendship given that transient killer whales eat mammals, but for our resident killer whales that eat salmon, dolphins aren’t prey. In fact, the resident orcas make good friends for dolphins since the two types of orcas generally avoid each other.

If you’re like us and thinking of upcoming spring and summer, add a whale watching tour to your to-do list! You might just get to see dolphins. To see video footage of the friends swimming together, click here.
