Did you know that Parksville and Qualicum Beach have a growing culinary scene? And that in a couple weeks Parksville will once again become ‘uncorked’?
The end of February marks the 8th-annual Parksville Uncorked Wine & Culinary Festival, one of the region’s largest food festivals (and certainly one of our favourites). No matter how developed your palate, you’ll find something to enjoy during the festivities – and it’s not just wine, either, you can also enjoy local craft beers.
To us, Parksville Uncorked last eight years really starts to signal the growing culinary community of mid-Vancouver Island. Amazing locally-produced meats and cheeses from local farms – like Mooberry Winery and Qualicum Beach Cheeseworks – are starting to make a name for themselves outside the island, and we couldn’t be more delighted.
Of course, you don’t need to come to Parksville Uncorked to enjoy all the delicious foods Parksville and Qualicum have to offer – it merely gives you a great excuse 😉
