Not-to-Miss Vacation Festivities in Parksville

Annual festivals and events in the area include:

• Parksville Beach Festival – August. Held over a three week period each August, the festival includes the Canadian Open Sand Sculpting Competition, beach volleyball & croquet tournaments, a bike-a-thon, a classic car show and more.
• Coombs Fair – August. Celebrating agriculture since 1913, the fair features animals, horticulture, art, music and food.
• Brant Wildlife Festival – March/April. The festival celebrates nature, particularly the return of the Black Brant geese as they rest on beaches midway between their wintering areas in Mexico and their nesting grounds in Alaska.
• Fire and Ice Street Festival – May. Chili cook-offs and ice carving are featured in this street festival in Qualicum Beach. Also musical street entertainment and Kids Zone.
